WATCH: Lane Kiffin Roasts Tennessee Vols & Saban On LeBatard Show

FAU football coach Lane Kiffin was in rare form on Wednesday afternoon, giving a hilarious interview on The Dan LeBatard Show.
Kiffin called in to the show and was firing off shots from the very beginning. We’ve seen Kiffin’s ability to masterfully troll everyone on social media, but now he was doing it over the phone and not holding back.
For example, Kiffin took a shot at the way Tennessee fans reacted to his departure for USC, saying he used their reaction as motivation to put up points as Alabama offensive coordinator.

Then, he noted that leaving Alabama has helped him get that beach body back.

But perhaps the most hilarious moment came when Kiffin’s call dropped. The head coach dialed back in and claimed the call dropped because it was “Coach Saban on the line,” who “didn’t like what I was saying.” Kiffin added, “Just kidding. It was Tennessee.”

We need more Lane Kiffin interviews.
Tennessee fans are currently rallying for Kiffin to return as Vols head coach after the Greg Schiano debacle and a wild coaching search, so they’ll hang on to those “It was Tennessee comments.”
But Kiffin very clearly still has resentment for the way Tennessee fans reacted to his departure the first time around. Could that keep him from accepting a job offer? Well, we’ll have to wait and see, but Kiffin did claim earlier in the day that he has not even been contacted by athletic director John Currie.
Stay tuned.
