Wake Forest Football: WR Greg Dortch Out For Season

The Wake Forest football team suffered a major loss ahead of this weekend’s game against No. 5 Notre Dame in South Bend.
This week, the school announced that leading wide receiver Greg Dortch will miss the remainder of the season after suffering an abdominal injury in the Demon Deacons’ win over Louisville on Saturday.
Dortch underwent surgery after the game.
Dortch was coming off of a breakout performance where he recorded 10 catches for 167 yards and a school-record four touchdowns. It’s a disappointing end to what was an incredible 2017 campaign for the redshirt freshman.
The standout pass catcher currently ranks second in the ACC with 722 receiving yards on the year.
He’s totaled 1,290 all-purpose yards, which is fifth-most in the FBS.
Kickoff between the Demon Deacons and Fighting Irish at Notre Dame is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
