Miami Football Players Celebrate At FSU's Midfield, Mark Richt Isn't Happy

Miami football coach Mark Richt was not happy with some of his players following the Hurricanes’ big win over rival Florida State at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee.
It was the first time since 2009 that Miami had come away with a win over Florida State, so players were understandably excited after the victory.
Richt was just ensuring the team was being respectful of their opponents.
Following the victory, a handful of Hurricanes players went to midfield and begin pretending to dig up the field at the midfield logo. As the players were celebrating, the 57-year-old coach sprinted over, pushed offensive lineman Jahair Jones off the logo and then yelled at the players to “get your asses” out of there.

We’re all for sportsmanship, but this is one case where it is hard to blame the players for having some fun after taking down a rival. Of course, it’s also good to see a head coach holding his players accountable and avoiding any situation that could cause controversy and take away from his team’s win.
Miami, now sitting at 4-0, returns to action next Saturday at home against Georgia Tech.
