The 2017 Women’s College World Series kicks off Thursday night, featuring the No. 3 Oregon Ducks. One player you will want to keep an eye out for is Sammie Puentes.
Puentes is a senior for the Ducks, who played in 47 games this season, including 25 starts.
While the senior excels on the diamond, she has also picked up quite the following on Instagram. Puentes currently has more than 21,000 followers, and it’s not hard to see why.
On the field, the batting bombshell had 15 hits, one home run and seven RBIs, with an average of .319 on the mount. On defense, she added a .938 fielding percentage.
