NFL Draft Rumors: Myles Garrett A Lock At No. 1

According to the latest NFL Draft rumors, the Cleveland Browns are locked in with the No. 1 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
It has long been speculated that the Browns would take Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett with the top pick in this week’s draft, but buzz has been recently building that the team could ultimately switch course and go with a quarterback.
Now, it looks like the quarterback rumors are nothing but smokescreens.
ESPN’s Mike Mayock dished on the latest NFL Draft rumors when he stated he’s hearing you can bet the house on Garrett being the Browns’ pick.

Mayock wrote:

Are the Browns really waffling on taking Myles Garrett No. 1 overall? One person in the league told me you can bet as much as you want on Cleveland taking the Texas A&M pass-rusher. The biggest question facing the Browns: Do they sit patiently at pick No. 12 or try to move up for a quarterback? Everything I’ve pieced together is that they like Trubisky the best among the quarterbacks. There’s some thought that Cleveland might have to trade ahead of the Jets at No. 6 if they really want the North Carolina QB.

This would make the most sense for the Browns.
In Garrett, Cleveland would be picking up the most talented player in this year’s draft. When you are picking No. 1 and have as many holes as the Browns do, that’s usually the proper approach.
And with the added benefit of a second-round pick and a plethora of selections throughout the first three rounds, they have plenty of flexibility to move back up into the top ten to grab a quarterback.
It’s going to be a fun night when everything kicks off Thursday in Philadelphia.
