Lee Corso thinks Washington will upset Alabama in Peach Bowl

You’ll have a hard time finding a sportsbook that isn’t giving the Washington Huskies two touchdowns in tonight’s Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta.

Alabama is favored by nearly everyone outside of the Washington faithful, and you’ve got to figure even some of them have their doubts.

Well, count Lee Corso the needle-in-the-haystack of Washington nay-sayers. Coach has picked the No. 4 Huskies to pull off the upset in tonight’s national semifinal at the Georgia Dome.

Big words and a bold protection. But ultimately, not that risky.

Alabama is favored by so much that choosing the underdog to pull off the upset leaves very little fear of having egg on your safe should they fail. When the selections were made there were some who felt that Penn State, winner of the Big Ten, was a more deserving team who would give the Crimson Tide more of a challenge.

The Nittany Lions will instead face the USC Trojans in the Rose Bowl on Monday, Jan. 2.

Will the Huskies beat Alabama? Probably not. And if they don’t, nobody will care or be surprise. But if they, by some miracle do? Well, then Corso is nothing short of a prophet.
