Syracuse’s John Gillon is struggling with the cold weather

Syracuse senior point guard John Gillon is having a difficult time getting acclimated to the weather in New York, after Syracuse was pounded with 20 inches of snow to start the week.

Despite spending two years in Fort Collins, Colorado at Colorado State, Gillon seems to have been taken aback by the wintery wonderland and he was left completely unprepared.

“I have nothing. I really have nothing right now,” Gillon said, via Matt Schneidman of the Daily Orange.

“I need to go to a Walmart and just get a whole bunch of stuff. I need a windshield scraper. I need a brush. I need a shovel. I need five jackets. I need all that. I’m struggling right now.”

Hopefully he can get all worked out before the winter gets worse.

The good news, however, is that while Gillon is freezing off the court, he has been very successful on it for the Orange.

Through four games, Gillon is averaging 11.8 points, five assists and 1.5 rebounds per game as the Orange have jumped out to a 4-0 start.
