The South Carolina Gamecocks’ 2017 recruiting class just got a lot more exciting. On Tuesday, four-star safety recruit Hamsah Nasirildeen, who could be making the move to linebacker at the college level, announced he has committed to suit up for Will Muschamp’s squad.
Nasirildeen choose the Gamecocks over offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia,Michigan, Ole Miss, Tennessee and others.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder announced his decision on social media.

Last season at Concord (N.C.) High, Nasirildeen recorded 85 tackles, five interceptions, two forced fumbles and seven pass break-ups as a junior. Nasirildeen is the No. 1 rated player in the state of North Carolina.
If he can bring his heavy-hitting style to the SEC while maintaining his impressive coverage skills, Muschamp and his staff could have a very special player on their hands.
