Iowa State F Georges Niang shares letter handwritten fan letter on Instagram

Sometimes, sports fans show their appreciation for their favorite athletes in some of the most sincere ways. Whether it be naming their first born after the athlete or just showing cheering for them even when they are on a rival team, fans can sometimes be awesome.

During his time with the Iowa State Cyclones, forward Georges Niang has pushed the team to one that competes just about every year. He has also become one of the most loved players on the court and one showed their appreciation by sending him a handwritten letter.

Niang shared the letter on Instagram, but blurred out the bottom half of it, likely for privacy reasons. However, the first few sentences of the letter are visible and it’s pretty clear what the fan was trying to say.

Love is love! Cyclone fans continue to keep us going! #thankyou

Niang joined the Cyclones in 2012 and has helped them to the NCAA Tournament each of the last three seasons. The Cyclones have also won the last two Big 12 tournaments, so it’s safe to say that his contributions will not be forgotten in Aames for a very long time.
