WSU transfer WR Kyrin Priester wins appeal, will play in 2015

After filing an appeal for Clemson transfer wide receiver Kyrin Priester to gain eligibility for the 2015 season, the Washington State Cougars have gained another huge piece to their already loaded receiving corps. Priester has shown some pretty amazing athletic ability for the team during fall practices, so they are certainly excited for him to join them once the season opens.

According to WazzuWatch.com, school officials confirmed that Priester had won his appeal and will be able to play the 2015 season. Priester, a redshirt freshman, was dismissed by Clemson after just one year after signing with them in 2013. He enrolled at Washington State in January of this year and has been running drills and practicing with the Cougars ever since.

Priester certainly brings a whole new dynamic to the team. During his senior year at Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia, he caught fifty-six passes for 1,116 yards and thirteen touchdowns while returning kickoffs and punts for the team.

He is expected to fill in the latter position for the Cougars in 2015 and will be placed further down the receiver depth chart. Despite that, he is still expected to see playing time throughout the season with the offense.

The Cougars open the 2015 season on September 5 when they host Portland State.
