Victor Hill Suspended Indefinitely For “Going After Knees”

Citadel offensive guard Victor Hill has been suspended indefinitely after he wrote on an online post, Sunday, that the Bulldogs offensive line was “going after knees” during their 37-12 loss to number one ranked Florida State.

FSU had three defensive lineman leave with injuries and Hill said he “contributed to the injury list and that was just the mindset going into the game.”

Head coach Mike Houston was not pleased with Hill’s posting.

“I am very disappointed in the words chosen by Victor Hill, who is a member of The Citadel football program.”  Houston said.  “After speaking at length on multiple occasions with Victor and careful review of video footage of our game from this past Saturday night, I have found no purposeful intent to injure from Vic … or by any other member of our football program.”

Houston said that the plan is for Hill, a senior, to return to the team this year, but it remains unclear when the reinstatement will occur.  Nonetheless, the Citadel program will not tolerate Hill’s actions, and the suspension will at least extend through the team’s September 20 contest against Charleston Southern.
