Vanderbilt G prefers Ralph Webb over Nick Chubb

To say that the Georgia Bulldogs have had the Vanderbilt Commodores’ number in their rivalry would be an understatement. Despite the Commodores pulling off the big upset in 2013, the Bulldogs have been dominant in their rivalry. This week, the two meet up in Nashville and the 8th-ranked Bulldogs look to dominate once again.

One reason the Bulldogs were so dominant in their 44-17 win last year was because Nick Chubb. Their running back is very good and could be the potential Heisman winner this year.

One Vanderbilt lineman, however, would rather have his running back over Georgia’s.

Vandy guard Jake Bernstein said he would take running back Ralph Webb over Chubb “any day”. That is a pretty bold statement in regards to one of the country’s top running backs.

No offense to Webb, but Chubb is on a completely different level. He, LSU running back Leonard Fournette, and Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott are in their own class above everyone else. Besides, Webb wasn’t very impressive in their loss to Western Kentucky as he only mustered 70 yards on the day. Chubb went for 120 and two touchdowns.

I think 99.9 percent of the college football world would go with Chubb. But I can’t fault Bernstein for sticking with his guy though. Maybe it will work out for the Commodores.

The Bulldogs and Commodores face off on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
