Two Top Recruits Commit to Florida State

Head coach Leonard Hamilton hit the jackpot Monday, when two ESPN Top 100 recruits committed to the Florida State basketball program.

No. 40 Dwayne Bacon and No. 51 Malik Beasley made  both committing during their official visits over the weekend.

Bacon, a small forward, chose the Seminoles over USC, Tennessee, Oklahoma State, SMU and South Florida; Beasley, a shooting guard, picked the ‘Noles over Connecticut, VCU and Wake Forest.

The two players will be a major boost to a program hoping to compete for an ACC crown.

Beasley’s speed and athleticism have aided in his major rise to stardom allowing him to make the jump from unranked to being ranked 51 overall.  Bacon provides a different look to game scoring from almost any spot on the court.

The duo will join four-star recruit Terrance Mann in one of Hamilton’s top recruiting classes during his tenure at FSU.
