Texas players get Kevin Durant edition backpacks

Kevin Durant is one of the best basketball players to come out of Texas in the last decade. Since making his way to the NBA, he has been a perennial All-Star and MVP in 2014. He has has also gained a terrific fashion sense by constantly being seen wearing a backpack.

According to College Spun, the Longhorns’ football team has taken after Durant and given their players special edition backpacks to wear this season. This is a very special homage to the former Texas basketball star.

In one of the weirder pieces of news last week, the Michigan Wolverines football team announced that they would be partnering with Jordan Brand and will feature the “Jumpman” logo on their jerseys instead of the Nike swoosh logo.

It’s pretty fun to imagine if the six-foot-eight Durant would have caught passes for the Longhorns during his career. That would have been something to see.

The Longhorns will look pretty stylish when they roll into South Bend for their opening game on September 5 against Notre Dame.
