The No. 21 Stanford Cardinal won’t know the status of quarterback Kevin Hogan and whether or not he can play on his injured ankle until game time, as Fox College Football recently tweeted that Hogan is truly a game-time decision for Friday’s game against Oregon State.
Stanford QB Kevin Hogan (ankle) expected to be a game-time decision for No. 21 Cardinal vs Oregon State on Friday.

Hogan, a senior from Washington, DC, initially hurt himself in last weekend’s upset victory over USC. He threw for 279 yards and two touchdowns in that game, and has 775 pass yards, five touchdowns and an interception on the season while completing 63.2 percent of his passes. After defeating USC, he was seen heading towards the team bus on crutches and with his left foot in a walking boot. If he is unable to play, sophomore Keller Chryst would likely take over under center in his place.
This is also a pivotal game for Stanford, as Oregon State is also 2-1 on the year and looking to pull of the upset, especially with the game being played at Reser Stadium. Without a key Cardinal player on the field, that possibility becoming a reality grows.
Campus Sports will update Hogan’s status for the game as soon as new information becomes available.
Kickoff is slated for 10 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
