Ronnie Clark Tears Achilles Tendon

Alabama freshman running back/safety Ronnie Clark tore his Achilles tendon in practice Tuesday, ending his freshman season and further thinning a running back corps that lost starter Kenyan Drake earlier in the year to a broken leg.

Clark was moved from safety to running back by coach Nick Saban just two weeks ago to help patch up a lack of depth at the position following Drake’s injury. The injury occured in Tuesday’s practice during a non-contact drill, according to AL.com.

The Crimson Tide, which was once thought to have one of the deepest running back stables in the country, are now struggling to find someone to take the load off of starter TJ Yeldon.

It will be interesting to see who will step up for the Crimson Tide in wake of their injuries at running back.

(7) Alabama will have their hands full this Saturday, squaring off against (21) Texas A&M at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
