Sanchious, who stands 6’9″, 219 pounds, will join and make even stronger a Racers team that finished 57th in the nation in rebounding and 11th in scoring. His best strength is his shot blocking and he has averaged 11.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per contest his senior year. Murray State will be without a top player next season, as point guard Cameron Payne (20.3 PPG, 5.8 APG) has declared for the NBA draft and last year’s leading rebounders Jarvis Williams (15.7 PPG, 8.4 RPG) and Jonathan Fairell (6.8 RPG) are set to graduate.

Just how many minutes he’ll play as a freshman remains to be seen, but one thing is certain. Sanchious’s name may have flown under the radar this recruiting season, but he could end up meaning more to Murray State than meets the eye.

Murray State finished 29-6 (16-0 OVC) in 2015, but missed out on a trip to the NCAA tournament after losing a heartbreaker to Belmont in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. The team then lost another tough one to Old Dominion in the NIT quarterfinals.
