Oregon won’t utilize Vernon Adams’s knowledge of EWU

The Oregon Ducks just named graduate transfer Vernon Adams their starting quarterback and there are all kinds of questions revolving around the team’s opening game. The Ducks play the Eastern Washington Eagles to open the season which is where Adams transferred from.

According to Mike Skow of KEZI 9 in Eugene, Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich has no plans to utilize Adams’s knowledge of the Eagles’ playbook for the opening game.

Although Eastern Washington is one of the top teams in the FCS, the Ducks are also a premier team…  in the FBS. I don’t see the Ducks struggling too much in the season-opener.

Adams should have a great day against a defense he knows very well next week. He is going to be a terrific piece for the Ducks this year.
