Ole Miss may have just found the next Bo Wallace for their team. The Rebels will miss the dual-threat abilities of Wallace for the 2015 season, but once Shea Patterson gets to campus next summer, they could be set for the future.
According to College Football Talk, Patterson won MVP honors at the Elite 11 camp on Friday. He beat out the nation’s top high school quarterbacks, including Shane Buechele, who had held the top spot for days, Jacob Eason, the number one pro-style quarterback in the country, and KJ Costello.

Patterson, a five star dual-threat quarterback, helped lead Team Lunarbeast to the Opening’s seven-on-seven championship. He is from Shereveport, Louisiana, so he knows all about the Rebels and their rich history of great quarterbacks.
The Rebels have recently gotten back to football glory in the SEC, so let’s hope them not having a solid quarterback for the 2015 season doesn’t hurt their chances of grabbing Patterson on signing day next April.
The Rebels open the season at home against UT Martin on September 5.
