Oklahoma transfer Frank Booker commits to Florida Atlantic

Oklahoma will be loaded at the guard position in 2015-16 but they will lose shooting guard and bench player Frank Booker, who decided to transfer following the season.

Booker has decided on a school Tuesday morning and it seems as if he wanted more playing time and the ability to play closer to home.

The 6’4″ sharp shooter from Augusta, Georgia has committed to Florida Atlantic and will have two years of eligibility remaining (after sitting out the 2015-16 season due to the transfer rules).

Booker averaged 14.3 minutes per game, 5.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and shot 30 percent from downtown during his sophomore season. The guard also averaged 5.1 points per game during his freshman season.

The bench talent scored 12 points (4-for-6 from three) against Dayton in the Sooners’ third round NCAA Tournament win.

Booker will bring experience and leadership to a Florida Atlantic squad that plays in the Conference USA against solid teams like Old Dominion, Louisiana Tech, UTEP and Western Kentucky.
