Four Kentucky Wildcats Suspended for Saturday’s Game

The Kentucky Wildcats have suspended four members of the football team after said players were caught using air pistols near a campus residency.  Running back Stanley Williams, backup quarterback Drew Barker, wide receiver Dorian Baker and defensive end Tymere DuBose will miss Saturday’s contest against South Carolina for the violation of campus policy.

Williams is easily the team’s biggest loss among the group, as he has led the team in all-purpose yards through four games.  The true freshman and the rest of the group clearly showed a severe lack of judgment during the incident.

The situation was first reported to authorities on two occasions late Sunday night when people in the area heard the apparent shots.  Those same witnesses claimed to have seen college-age students leaving the area, which ultimately led to the school’s findings.

Head coach Mark Stoops said the four players could face further internal punishment for their actions. Stoops released a statement regarding the four players’ suspensions.

“Proper conduct is emphasized as a core value of our program. If we have a situation in which someone who does not act according to our standards, we hold him accountable,” Stoops said.
