Dustin Thomas To Transfer to Arkansas

Former Colorado Buffaloes guard and forward Dustin Thomas will join the Arkansas Razorbacks. Thomas made the announcement on his personal Twitter page.

The 6’7″, 225 pound Thomas averaged four points and 2.5 rebounds per game across two seasons at Colorado. He shot 43 percent from the field. In those two seasons, the Buffaloes went 39-30 (17-19 Pac-12) and earned a trip to the 2014 NCAA tournament, where the team lost to Pittsburgh in the Round of 64.

He will now join an Arkansas team that made a lot of noise in the SEC this season, going 27-9 (13-5 SEC) and making its first NCAA tournament under fourth-year head coach Mike Anderson. The Razorbacks lost to the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Round of 32. This year marked the team’s first NCAA tournament appearance since 2008, back when John Pelphrey was head coach.

Now, though he’ll have to sit out a year, Thomas will get to be part of a team that is in a position to become a perennial contender in the SEC.
