Clemson, Auburn To Face Off in 2016 & 2017

With the new college football playoff in place, big conference powerhouses are starting to realize that non-conference scheduling is an important factor to make the Final Four.

Auburn and Clemson announced that they will be facing off in 2016 and 2017. The first meeting will take place at Jordan-Hare stadium on September 3, 2016. Auburn will travel to Clemson the following year on September 9, 2017.

This will be the fiftieth meeting between the two programs.

Auburn leads the series 34-13-2.

Auburn won the last meeting in 2012 where they defeated Clemson 26-19 in the season opener in Atlanta.
