Brad Paisley to play before Virginia Tech-Ohio State game

Country star Brad Paisley will perform a free concert outside Blacksburg’s Lane Stadium the night before the Virginia Tech Hokies open the season against the defending champion Ohio State Buckeyes. The announcement was made on HokieSports.com.

The concert itself will take place in one of the parking lots of Cassell Coliseum, and Virginia Tech AD Whit Babcock offered a brief comment.

Hokie Nation supports us with tremendous passion and dedication,” said Tech Director of Athletics,Whit Babcock. “The opportunity to bring a Grammy award-winning artist like Brad Paisley to the Virginia Tech campus is great way to thank our great fans and kick off an amazing weekend. We appreciate IMG helping make this memorable event possible.”

Paisley’s tour also features stops at other colleges, including the University of Texas on September 10, Baylor on the 11th and Arkansas on the 12th, with more college dates coming in the near future.

It’s a great way to hype everyone up for the game, so Virginia Tech fans and students alike should be sure to take this concert if they’re able to go.
