Antonio Blakeney De-commits from Louisville

Antonio Blakeney, the second-ranked shooting guard and the 14th overall player in the 2015 ESPN Top 100, has decided to reopen his recruiting search after de-committing from Louisville.

“I made a quick and emotional decision based on some of the wrong reasons. I really loved my visit and everything about Louisville and I am still strongly considering them,” Blakeney said.

Originally, Blakeney chose the Cardinals over Florida State, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, Oregon and USC, but it remains unclear, which teams will remain in the running now that the door has swung back open.  Whichever team is lucky enough to land the five-star recruit is in for a treat as Blakeney possesses an elite scoring ability to go along with his smooth outside stroke.

Blakeney has insisted that the Cardinals are not out of the running, but some speculate that Blakeney’s decision is shoe-company oriented, and that Louisville will not be his final destination. His AAU team is sponsored by Nike, as are all of the schools on his list – except Louisville, which is sponsored by Adidas.
