For the second off-season in a row, Nick Saban and his staff have to decide who will be the starting quarterback come September.
The competition is a three-man race between senior Jacob Coker, junior Alec Morris and true freshman Blake Barnett. Alabama.com reporter Matt Zenitz believes he knows who will win the spot under center.
The more I hear, the more I think Alec Morris will be Alabama’s starting QB — barring a subpar performance in tomorrow's scrimmage

This news may come as shock to anyone who hasn’t watched Alabama practice. Most believed that Florida State transfer Jacob Coker would win the job this year. Morris has zero game experience, but has been rumored to be the most impressive of the three so far in camp.
Zenitz also added that he thinks that true freshman Blake Barnett could eventually end up taking the reins at QB.
Freshman Blake Barnett remains a wild-card. Has gotten bigger, has done good things during camp and is the most physically gifted of the QBs

Would be surprised if Blake Barnett starts Game One, but I could see him taking over later in the year depending on how the starter is doing

The Crimson Tide haven’t come into a season with this many uncertainties in a very long time. If Saban and Kiffin are shuffling quarterbacks in and out of the starting lineup, Alabama may be in for a rough year.
